Yesterday i had a chat with CC . they said as 19 Tamil channels will be moved to MPEG4 from 31st July. there will no amount be added to account.[I heard that Rs 25/- is to be added after replacement of STB ].

My source - Area sales manager - Madurai...just SMS'ed me stating that from tomorrow Makkal TV will be discontinued in MPEG 2 boxes.....

Y only 1 channel ?

cc is always misleading us. But hope this time this is true

regarding the cc...they told the same thing for 25th July it didnt happen...i dont think that they will migrate all the tamil channels by 31st July....it would take some time for them to migrate all the tamil channels...

CC might have been asked to send across this information to their customers ....by this from customer end too they will act fast to replace their STBs

After 31st we can see some more Tamil channels moving to mpeg4, may be on 10th.

I think they will migrate 8-10 channels 1st and later all channels ..

Its just another day lets wait and see which are the tamil channels which are getting migrated to MPEG4

We have to wait till today midnight to know the fact.

Ts have proper data of tamil any state and from that they can take decision easily. If there is 100% replacemet for state then All tamil channels wil be in mpeg4.
