In ROI you got ANI & PTI kind of agencies to serve the news first in South you got Sun, Jaya, Kalignar etc.. to break the news from the party.
I remember when all news channels was in 2 mind to declare YSR dead everyone was eyeing on Sakshi TV the day Sakshi put YSR's photo on the channel & declared him dead everyone start airing the same. Infact Sakshi TV was the one who found the helicopter & the accident point then the Govt. agency.

The fact remains that the media today is split into 2 the ones leaning to BJP and the ones leaning to Left(including AAP) n congress (including others like SP RJD TV etc). We do not have a single news channel which is not biased. And when it comes to states its state specific leaning. In TN Sun n Kalaingnar to DMK, Jaya to AIADMK even smaller parties have channel aligned to them like Captain TV. So goes with Kerala where Asianet n Kairali are left leaning jaihind of Congress Janam of BJP and all other sm what leaning to any one of the ldf or udf parties.
