The fourth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League, BPL 2016-17 is scheduled to start from 4th November 2016 and will end on 9th December 2016. BPL T20 is Bangladesh domestic cricket tournament which is similar to IPL. The tournament helps Bangladeshi domestic cricketers and give the chance to learn from the internationals stars. The official BPL 2016 schedule with match fixtures with time, dates and venues are recently announced by BPL Governing Council.

All the franchises were allowed to retain two local players from the previous season, the two new franchises – Khulna Titans and Rajshahi Kings were given the chance to pick two each up front. While Khulna went for left-arm spinner Mosharraf Hossain and pacer Shafiul Islam, Rajshahi picked Nurul Hasan and allrounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz.

BPL 2016 season will feature total seven teams which include six teams from the previous season plus one new franchise from Khulna and Rajshahi. Apart from Khulna and Rajarshi, the other teams are Comilla Victorians, Barisal Bulls, Rangpur Riders, Dhaka Dynamites and Chittagong Vikings.

This season there will be a total seven teams who will Bangladeshi entertain cricket fans. This year, Sylhet Super Stars franchise was excluded from the tournament. Below is the complete BPL 2016 teams squad.

Player’s fees:

In the last season of Bangladesh Premier League, players were divided into four grades. The players belong to A grade got 70,000 USD while B grade players got $50,000. The players who are in C and D grade got 40000 and 30000 respectively. The fees of international players depend upon the team owners
