For your information, these tps are not from dd free dish, but not dish tv's own transponder either! These tps are owned by the MHRD under Govt. of India. They are running these channels fta in gsat 15 at 93.5e(coincidently , the same satellite is used by prasar bharati for ddfd) under the name swayram prabha, so anyone can pick them if in range. And luckily, dish tv(95e) is very close to it, and thus gsat is in their range(for same reason, ddfd channels are available in dish tv). So, they took the opportunity to add these channels to their platform at zero cost! Thats why, they have no complain in adding them, as they don't need to add them in their tp, unlike others who are far away from gsat15....

If we're referring LyngSat then let me bring this list as well that Sun Direct beaming HD channels from 93.5 E. Being distributed their SD channels from 91.5 E Measat Satellite.

It means Sun Direct has capabilities to beam channels from 93.5 and 91.5 resp. It means even RDTV can do this. It means if dishtv claiming DD Free Dish for free these 32 channels for free and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting knows and still doing nothing Sun Direct and RDTV who has gone out from the race long back doing nothing nor objecting in front of Minister then this is a mockery of business in India.

We're debating that why 32 channels is distributed by dishtv rather then why others can't. I can't expect Tata Sky, Airtel to provide these channels infact if they got opportunity then they would remove DD channels too, d2h has serious issue but why not Sun and RDTV ?

why not Sun and RDTV ?

Because sun is only concerned about south market, and thanks ro their worst business strategies, they've never been able to grow as a brand..

And as far as rdtv goes, I don't think reliance is even serious about their dth business, I mean look at how they are running it! No wonder they've lost almost all of their customers! So don't expect anything from them.

I was talking about the ones who are active, ie. tata, dish tv, airtel, vdocon and ddfd. Sorry, sometimes I tend to forget that rdtv and sun even exist...

I don't think these 32 channels has anything to do with North South East & West. Infact these channels are in English mostly so there is no issue in distributing to South. Also the amount of ROI channels Sun Direct carrying they can very easily add DD channels and increase more South channels in the space allocated.

RDTV may be out of race now but not 4 - 5 years ago. From whenever they got the space crunch including Sun Direct they could easily make a arrangement if at all DD Free Dish channels are free.

Talking about dd channels, it is too late now, as dd has decided to encrypt their channels now, to prevent others from using them..

But as far as the 32 channels, these are NOT dd channels, and anyone is free to add them from source itself... But sun and rdtv are sleeping, as always...

Let's see whether DD channels will be encrypted or not or more importantly Prasar Bharti channels, I am hearing this news since ages but channels are participating in auction and even with more enthusiastic then MPEG 4 I never heard anyone to support Govt. to encrypt signals infact I never heard any channel to say that they're welcoming or excited about MPEG 4 rather then self boasted article from Prasar Bharti.

Regarding considering any company for sleeping I don't think any company works for no future.
