BTW, except taarak mehta, other shows were being telecasted with black bars since much time ago
So just problem for taarak mehta customers
Why can't remove black bars?

Agsin you're acting mad. I said TODAY IS THE FIRST BDSAH SHOWING WIDESCREEN! And widescreen means with black bars!!!!

Widescreen means 16:9 aspect ratio. Now since the channel is in 4:3 aspect ratio(square), to fit the wide frame, black bars come. That was the meaning. And theres nothing called longscreen
