HELP Deciding on a Home theater 5.1

but the one I selected from Philip do u think its a good choice.does Philips offer good output as Sony.... How about other products apart from Philips or sony

The one you selected is good too. But sony is best in this category. Sony home theater with inbuilt decoder costs 18k online. And if you go for samsung ull get a HT witj inbuilt decoder at 12-13 k im not sure u can see that in there website.

I was also thinking that Blue Ray is not that popular yet will it be worth spending money as the Blue Ray CD are expensive and with advent of HD channels & USB drives watching movie on DVD is thing of past .

Also suggest what would be other alternative without Blue Ray i mean normal DVD 5.1 Systems on best budget

Is it possible to get 5.1 output from this devise for TATA SKY HD using any additional gadgets like the one featured here

Don't use converter. Better get a proper home theatre in budget. I don't think converter can deliver nice performance.

Converter can use brother.yes..always better to take Original one but If we take good converter we can use it for 5.1 sound.

ok thanks but how would the connection work ... Between tats sky converter and my Sony dz 270 home theatre system for 5.1 sound
