Grass looks always greener on the other side. Well, I have just moved to Tata Sky from Dish TV yesterday. Let me give you some insight.. 1. I have DVR box worth 9300 with 500GB whereas you can attach 1 TB hard disk to Dish STB and it will cost you less than 4000. Not to mention that Tata Sky does not provide recording feature in simple HD or even on their 4K STB. B. If EPG is not available for any reason, there is no way, you can record program even if you are aware of the time. You have to stay awake to record the program.. How convenient. C. Most annoying, when you setup Hindi as a default audio language in DVR, it doesn't stay and gets revert to English.. This issue is pertaining from last 1 year and TS did not feel like resolving it even when it's a matter of software update. D. The most essential feature.. Favourite is limited to one list with 50 channels so if you need to browse a particular channel, you have to search from 50 channels, then once on the channel, change language and no don't change the channel because once you are back on it, you will have to change the audio language again. DISHTV or D2H is far better than Tata sky in managing these basic expectations.. I m not mentioning cost as E because everyone is aware that Tata Sky is the most expensive DTH.. It seems that success is now spinning on their head.. They have to make drastic changes else Jio will give them tough competition.
