I think if they changing eng news channel in mpeg4 encoding then they required to change their boxes as where all over india.if they do so then it true that migration of entire channel not so far away.because roi mpeg4 process is tough and hard.

My indication on the complete change of stb in the respect of a little bit time as just one and half month

hmm then they would have to replace stb of north india users also, few days back i had requested them to change my stb but i was told that free migration is yet not enabled on my customer id, as it is being done in phase wise manner, now as i subscribe to English news channels they would have to change my stb or else i can take them to consumer court

if u got sms regarding stb replacement, they only they can change it for free.otherwise consumer court also cant help u

sms or not if they migrate English news channels as speculated then they have to update the stb of all subscribers who subscribe to migrated channels otherwise its a clear deficiency of service and we can take them to consumer court ( FYI i am a law graduate)

hindi and punjabi, till now they are within there right to deny me mpeg4 box, however if English news channels are indeed migrated as mentioned in some posts then they cannot legally speaking deny free mpeg4 box to anyone subscribing to English news channels
