The REAL reason as to why this MARRIAGE was so important

The actual reasoning for this weird union of marriage between Diya and Ratan became much clearer in the last minutes of the last episode of the show, when Maan Singh's family comes to mourn his death and there is sense of awkwardness in the air already. In a clash between the family and Diya's father, we are enlightened with how Ratan is not going to be safe in his own family, now that his parents are dead. So, a marriage just confirms and seals a relationship enabling Diya's entry into Ratan's house, where she can guard him constantly.


Even if we say this can be done by being a friend or a motherly figure, that cannot have the same impact as Ratan's family would have an obvious objection with Diya living in their house without any authority and binding. Hence, a marriage makes Diya the wife of the only heir of a rich house. With several hawks eyeing Ratan's death and taking over the property, this marriage with Diya makes him safe enough.

Please now listen to me. If you r regular viewer of Sabdhan India/Crime Patrol (crime shows), then u would be sure that some episodes of such shows are so much vulgurable. Lesbian Sex, Gay Rape, Mother-Son fun, father rapes his own girls, 70+ women rapes in a group a single teenage boy and so on. All of this are acceptable to us??? These does not reflect a negative effect in our so called "Civilized Society"? It's so much funny that in our country, a pornstar Sunny Leone is a celebrity, it does not give a wrong message to our next gen???
But we don't criticize about those vulgurity where PPK shows reflects a social culture of Rajasthan. I think u don't know about "SAMJHOTA SHADI", in this ritual marriage is only for show-off, the main reason behind this to protect someone or something. The shows you mentioned - be it Savdhan India and Crime Patrol - do not glorify the wrong doings. They alert you about what can happen in the society and how to stay safer. How can you compare a serial with those shows?

And yes, not everything that is part of the so called culture can be something you have to glorify. Even those honour killings tend to be part of the so called culture and its safety. Would you support it just because it is what your ancestors told you so? Samjhauta Shaadi - even if a ritual should not be something you have to promote on National Television. It is something to be hated and that remains so... If one is educated enough (through education in the real sense, not through those degrees), I do not one will support those I'll practices either in fact or in fiction.
