Recently Zee media continuous expand their portfolio in different regions with the launch of various language news channel.

They already launched a Urdu news channel Zee Salaam on 20th July. Now another news has come on air, they are going to re-enter in gujarati market with a new gujarati news channel, Zee 24 Kalak, which is going to air from 15th August.

It's all about the psyche & the demographic composition.

Gujrati audience watch more of Hindi Gec.
Star plus and Sab is a super hit in Gujarat market.
Zee had one GEC but discontinued it.
Adhakari brothers have one GEC but it's more of a Hindi music channel.
News channels have good business especially during trading hours. That's why TV 18 has CNBC Bazar.
Latest BARC ratings speaks for itself,the only GEC stands @5th position.
1.48 cr impression is what's the Gujarati GEC viewership is which is very less.
