Discussion Pension stopped due to missing Aadhaar

I was in SBI today afternoon and an elderly person came to the branch. His query was since june his pension is not getting credited to his pension account. At first, the service manager tried to divert him to the pension department to inquire about it. On insistence from the account holder, SM asked about the details and also asked about the aadhaar linkage. To which account holder replied he hasn't done it yet. He was about 65yrs old.
I think the deadline to link aadhaar to the bank account is of December 2017. Govt has stooped to such levels wherein they are hampering the money a citizen saved all his life to be credited to him for his daily needs. This is really shameful on the part of govt.

This is gross misinformation.
Pensioners had to get their life certificate by 31st March. For life certification unlike in the past now its made simple by just getting biometric verification done and by linking aadhar. In the past the life certificate was a tedious process and a source of corruption for Bank and pension officers. Even if life data is not updated all sbi & other government pension branches are given biometric machines to do the verification.

No pension or any transactions are stopped due to aadhar card not registered in bank. Last date is 31st December 2018.The lazy bank officials are just trying to divert the old man citing lame excuses.

Now you can't blame govt for this. Rather govt policy has made lives of senior citizens easier as annual life verification ritual has become corruption free there by saving 100 Rs paid at pension office and 100 Rs paid to the bank and other bribe if any.

you just find a reason out of nowhere to blame the government. i know very well how rascals employees of SBI are. they easily blame others for their own mistake.

They haven't don't anything that would require appreciation. Moreover it's the action of the government which brings in these type of excuses into play. Also this government is responsible for the mess they have created with the merger of state banks into one.

even if there won't be aadhar they would be ready ready with another bullshit reason to fool.

aadhar is a good thing and started by congress. BJP. so even if someone who should be blamed for adhar is congress.

Even ATM has started asking for Aadhar # to withdraw cash from SBI. such a bull shit nationalized bank. There was a system issue couple of days back and these rascals did not bothered to inform the customer's.
