Zee TV on Saturday announced `ZEE5’, a digital
platform where people from across the globe will be able to enjoy Indian entertainment programmes in their respective vernacular languages. Zee TV also launched its new logo at an event held in Mumbai to celebrate Zee TV’s completion of 25 years.
A dedicated logo for Dr. Subhash Chandra, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, and Chairman of the Essel Group and ZEE, was also launched at the event.
Speaking at the event, Punit Goenka, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, said, “The new identity is not any evolution, but a revolution of new belief towards being stronger as one family. The new colour of the logo is a sign of transformation. Over the next few weeks, we will see the rollout of ZEE5 across India and other global markets.”
He added, “ZEE5 India is poised to be the largest digital platform for Indian entertainment in the world. Bringing the best of live TV, Indian and international TV shows, movies and videos to viewers in the language of their choice and across all their internet connected devices.”
Amit Goenka, CEO, International Broadcast Business, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, said, “I see excitement in the air. We are going towards a new global destination. ZEE5 is a digital platform that is born out of passion to create something new for the industry, and we are going to create a new history in the coming 25 years.”
“I must mention that without the vision of our Chairman Dr Subhash Chandra, this would not have been possible today,” he said. Dr Chandra wished both Punit and Amit Goenka success.
