Speculation, but it makes sense, because it is easier for them to migrate to mpeg4 boxes region by region, and eng/hin gec and movies are watched across the country. But they should add HD channels as and when they free up space... people have already started moving to D2H.

After the 2nd tp conversion tata sky have more chances for adding bunch of south channels/hd channels

I think ts will not add hindi or English channels in future too in mpeg-4; only regional channels may be converted.

And another info is when TS Migrate all regional then for who they left hindi and english channels in mpeg2. For out of india user?
