Discussion Cable TV subscription rates

Local cable operator has done some kind of contract with GTPL. They are charging Rs 1500 for STB & a marginal Rs 150/- per month for all SD channels(didn't asked about HD subscription) which is basically Royal Package worth Rs 370.
How can they possibly provide such service?
It feels doubtful.
Share your experiences...if true let others break out of traps of these expensive DTH operators.

Yes it's true GTPL subsidise their package rates for DAS II and DAS III areas.

I'm paying rs250 for all SD and HD

Bro u r getting all 64 HD channels but we only get 26 HD channels

not only cable operators. even DTH operators have launched special plans for these areas.

Yes u can , u will get more than 50 HD channels
But first ask ur LCO whether they will provide Signals on long Power Cuts?
Or there any issue of Cable Cuts in the Area..
