I'm a Videocon D2H customer, and I was so excited when "Start Sports 2" was launched. I was expecting to see lot more Football matches (since, Star has the rights for English, Italian and Spanish Leagues), and it was happening during the first few months of SS2 addition (they were even showing live football matches in Start Cricket). But my excitement turned into to desperation when D2H played the waiting game in adding the channel.
After waiting for few months, I went ahead and asked my cable operator to reconnect the cable (which was disconnected for almost a year), and provide me a STB, just to watch SS2.
But, I'm in a state of dilemma now, by seeing the content SS2 or any other start sports channel provide. They shouldn’t have renamed it as Start Sports 1, 2, 3 and 4. They should’ve named it as Start Cricket 1, 2, 3 and Start Sports.
I guess, there are some nutcases sitting on top of the content management division of Star. The only sports they know are Cricket, Cricket and Cricket. This started happening after the ESPN-Start spilt.
There were many football matches happening in the weekend, and all star-sports (except SS4) showing was Cricket. That too repeated telecasts of some documentaries and highlights.
This is what their schedule shows now, I couldn’t take the screen shot of schedule for the weekends, but it was all the same.

If anyone from start sports reading this, I would like you to know that you are doing an awful job there, and it will be better to get is sorted out soon. Do you guys think any one will watch "Perfect Pujara", "Pragyan Ojha" or "All Rounder Aswhin", all the day ?
Why do we need to pay so much of rupees just to watch Cricket from all their channels?
Does anyone know whether TRAI monitors these things?
Is there any governing body where we can file a complaint?
