Breaking News Chennai ready to digitization

In Chennai all cable TV operator meeting held on September 2012. after that meeting they are inform to all customers.

1.October 1st customer cannot watch TV without STB.
2.STB rate is Rupees 1200,warranty only coming with manufacturer end(no news about STB make)
3.they are plan to provide 110 Free + pay channels.
4.no news about updated subscription fee information,currently they are collecting 110 to 130 per month.

STB rates from MSO:
SCV Rupees 1000
CAMCAT Rupees 1200
JAC Rupees 800

In that case Major MSOs like Hathway, Den, Incable etc are charging STB at Rs 799 only. So, Chennai MSO's too should come up with more customer economical prices.

That's a very competitive rate but I think they should start this pricing asap so that digitization would speed up and least people face blackout on 1st of November.

tamil peoples well educated and quickly they are adapt to situation.so i think this is currect time.but digital network already completed at 70 persentage on last jun.so they are already planned everything and announce later. one month is enough for do remaining.stb cost is the only factor.i expect some offer from mso side.

im in chennai but i cant see the activities going ard nw maybe last week of this month.

70 % You fact is absolutely wrong buddy. Only 19% was completed as on 30th June 2012.
