if you bought it 3 years back then DD might not be detected.
I'm getting DD on Samsung TV(Adtv) whereas in Sony I'm not getting DD in my d2h which I bought 2007

i tried all settings both in stb and tv.sound quality is very good in m tunes hd.i don't nw i am getting dd sound or not.tv shows 1080ihd/16:9/
stereo.

TV can give only dolby digital stereo and DD 5.1 through HDMI is applicable only for avr.
