ChaiBiskutBhai sir, that's a good article which would have been good at that time and now there is ad cap which would make these broadcasters to throttle-neck and becoming FTA doesnt be viable for them.

Very Nice article ChaiBiskutBhai. Hope they approve ad cap and reduce the subscription price. I also feel they should make universal prices for channel . I don't understand some dth provide some channels in lesser price and others with very costly. They should cap for max channel price.

In my opinion there should be a regulatory to decide the price of channel. Or Maybe there should be regulation for fixed charges of a particular channel across

Believe it or not guys DTH companies having a burden of 3 things - Satellite Investment, Heavy Taxation and Foreign Based Broadcaster (Except ZEE), DTH companies are not get carriage fee from broadcaster and certainly Foreign Based Broadcaster which are heavily invested in Indian Market are juicing up Indian Currencies through DTH also 6 out 5 paid DTH companies are based of Foreign Satellites and Heavy Taxation's are also blamable companies like dishtv and TATA(SKY having more tax to pay then others, but in this case dishtv seems to have more trouble they're operating in 3 Foreign Satellites (NSS 6, SES 8, ASIASET 5) also Huge Taxation, because they're a Indian Company so their earning in Indian Rupees and Spending in Dollars. Also Infrastructure wise ESSEL Group is not a Top Most Group in India like TATA, Reliance, airtel and Videocon so we can see dishtv is struggling more then other DTH but the whole DTH is burdanize in huge investment if this current NDA Govt. not do anything then DTH industry will be reach into a bottom like Aviation sector.
