MPEG2, MPEG4 & latest HEVC are compression techniques using which broadcasters transmit the channels.

MPEG2 takes more bandwidth to transmit channel
MPEG4 takes half the bandwidth of MPEG2 to transmit the same channel
HEVC - this takes very less bandwidth when compared to MPEG4
Is there any quality difference in all of those?
Means picture quality

don't think so
No difference
Means DTH providers using MPEG 4 only for saving transponder space
Not for quality increase
Then its bad
They should keep transponder space for future with good quality too
As of now, biggest DTH providers like Dishtv & Videocon D2h having poorest picture quality
