TS mints money from us in the name of premium and followed by dish.
I guess TS can manage to add required HD channels rather than service HD channels.

But what Is cost of hd recorder? Worth to spend 5k to save 150 per month? This high cost of stb is only reason i keep using tatasky

HD recorder is of same quality of TS.
i m talking about cost not quality .
why i m not moving to D2H or Airtel is cost of new STB . i can't spend ₹6k to buy new connnetion of airtel to save ₹150 monthly . even you can not sell tatasky STB to anyone

I totally agree with this point. Problem with DTH is that for few interested channel and small saving we forget about big investment.
My TV viewing require a DVR. So, investment is also high. I mugged up almost 6k for d2h DVR then a time came when I was forced to take Tata Sky due to unavailablity of signal range at my new place. When I took Tata Sky it was having very less HD channels. So I tried everything to retain my d2h but could not do so.
So, I invested another 7k for Tata Sky DVR and equal amount of subscription package. Now after this huge re-investment, I can't think of another service provider even if Tata Sky don't add my 2 wannabe channels because it will cost again an investment equivalent to 12 to 15 thousands

rs.7k after 3 years won't be much as I always prefer to change DTH connection after certain years

But what if existing DTH is sufficient enough not to move on.

I move on to other dths when the stb fails.
