Twenty two passengers were killed and 150 injured when the engine and two coaches of the Dehradun-Varanasi Janta Express derailed near Bachrawan Railway Station on Friday.

Yes the tracks in india are really badly maintained that's the reason we cannot expect the speed of trains in 200 KMH range without modifying them. Though we have engines to pull them to this speed but tracks lets us down along with the catenary OHW

Seriously, Railway needs a major fixation. Tracks are death inviting of Indian Railways.

Bullet train tracks and setup would be different from these ones bro. our lines and OHW would give up with a speed on 200Kms per hour even.

Govt should focus on training, spread awareness & install anti-coliision devices in the areas which are more susceptible to such incidents.

Nothing wrong with track or signal.Driver didn't stop the train evenif there was red signal.
