A four-day-old baby boy found floating in a basket at Yamuna river was rescued by a local shepherd, who was herding his cattle to the river bank at the time.
The incident was reported from near Silawali village of Fatehabad, some 50 km away from Agra.
As per a TOI report, the infant was immediately rushed to a hospital, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit. Doctors said the baby had developed skin infection due to over-exposure of the sun and water that managed to find its way in the basket.
Meanwhile, police have launched a search to find the child's family.
