Combatant price increase is making DTH go out of reach for most people. They r reverting back to cable but there too broadcasters r forcing MSO's to increase prices. Stll the local cable wallah's always do some hera pheri and gives discounts to people which DTH can't so people will stick with cable. Lot to ponder upon for DTH players.

Out of 39 million active ones, Videocon has command of over 10 million. I guess most inactive customers would be of Dish TV, Reliance and Sun Direct

Very informative news Deepu bro. What could be the reason for inactive ones? Is that majority having more than one connection and secondary is inactive?

Scorpion bro, most people have connections from single dth company. People having connections from multiple operators r a minority. Most can't even afford buying one connection.

The soaring prices of DTH packages is the reason for growing inactive customer base

With respect to prices which are heading north one day or other it will nose dive. So I guess it's only short term
Yes bro, that is what i said. Both parties will have to rethink their strategies.

It is much more beneficial to have little profit margin fr each subscriber anf have more subscribers than have less subscribers day by day and try to juice out more profit from them by inflating prices
