So they are counting Showcase HD channels and not Star Sports addon.

Yes....they are not counting Add-ons. Otherwise their HD offering is huge and looks like it will take a lot of months for other DTH to catch up. All my 49 fav channels are HD and 1 SD that is 9XO. Still there are HD Channels left that can not be added on fav list. Currently there is an overflow of HD Channels in Tata Sky. As we hear about Star Movies Premier HD, Fox Crime HD and SAB HD ; looks like its never gonna stop which really is a good thing. But now i feel that in India we need more channels like History 2 HD, SciFi HD, BBC Earth HD, Universal HD, Cartoon Network HD ( Check the Singapore StarHub HD list provided in previous posts ) .

So we may surpass UK sky on 14th with addition of Bangali HD channels

I think newly added Showcase HD channel are replacement of new regionals Channel might be
