Good news that mpeg4 migration has started again.....
This indicates that channel addition may be coming....
But bad news for SD or mpeg2 STB users....as they won't be able to view these channels....
Hope that now TS starts old mpeg2 STB replacement again....Otherwise old users of TS may be forced to buy new mpeg4 STBs......
I think most likely TS now won't start replacement of old STBs or replace STBs for free....

I guess even now TS is providing free upgrade from MPEG2 to MPEG4 STB

Then what about Gsat10?
I think AS8 migration is not going to happen because otherwise they would not have announced that migration is over. Regarding free channels, it may be for testing but also because they still need 20 days time (due to IPL or whatever). They will either use GSAT-10 or just do more and more mpeg4 migration on insat4A itself. The upgrate they are calling is most likely some such setting which on mpeg4 creates little more space than what they usually get. Tata Sky never adds too many channels...so it is going to be at max 20 which still leaves them a lot behind than others...let's see all these are my predictions based on the moved they have been taking. Just one thing is now they are saying migration is over and I am going Agra for Tajmahal and playing cricket etc etc then a new AS8 migration and re-alignment of 10 million dishes is unthinkable.

No where they mentioned the word "migration" in TS adds. They are saying that " upgradation" is over..not migration.. Dont write wrong comments
