Digitization Status as per Latest Report :

Total 68% of cable TV digitisation has already been completed in four metro cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.

• In Mumbai, digitisation is at reported at 95%
• In Kolkata, 67% of Cable TV are digitized
• In Delhi, Digitization has been completed for 53% Cable TV
• Chennai remains the last at 49%

Then very few of these 47% would be digitalised even after the deadline.. here one hardly gets any paid channel in cable tv without set top box... for this very reason i got my STB in 2008 only...

Still One month is remaining. So, in best to best scenario Delhi will end up at 63%.

So, Delhi and Chennai will face huge havoc on 1st of November.

I know chennai and Delhi figures come late.The fact is cable TV not concentrated on these areas.I mean not regional cable national cable I am saying.hathway having very less contribution on Delhi.Not yet entered in Chennai.DEn and other national wide cable scenarios also same.
