Fingerprint is meant to track illegal viewing. These fingermarks keeps transmitting even if we switch-off the TV set. So, I doubt viewership is associated with it.

GRP is calculated in a different way. TAM meters are installed at samples places and viewing of particular channels and programs are captured.
