It's been a week since Windows 10 officially launched, and we're now seeing the first wave of Windows 10 devices hitting the market. And it's Acer leading the way with the Aspire E5-573 entry-level laptop, the Aspire V Nitro-Black Edition gaming laptop, and the Aspire R 13 with Acer's unique Ezel Aero Hinge that allows six different modes of usage.
All of the above devices are Skype certified, which means that the laptops have been fine-tuned to ensure they work together for a problem-free and optimised audio and visual communication experience. Thanks to the built-in Acer Purified Voice technology, the speech accuracy is also improved by up to 97 per cent.
The Aspire E5-573 notebook is great for budget-conscious entry-level users. It's powered by 5th Gen Intel Core processors, boast decent graphical capabilities with specs that go up to Nvidia GeForce 920M series with dedicated DDR3 VRAM, up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB HDD storage options. It also comes in a variety of colour options in 14-inch and 15.6-inch displays and feature a textile-like 3D-printed pattern. It includes the TrueHarmony audio technology optimised for use with the new Cortana voice assistant that's part of Windows 10. Prices start at Rs 26,499.
Our favourite, Aspire V Nitro-Black Edition gaming laptop boasts a 15-inch 4k display, 4th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX960M, which is pretty impressive considering it's slim size. It doesn't skimp out on the audio as well with the Dolby Digital Plus Home Theatre outputted through 4 speakers. You can get this for Rs 1.1 lakh.
Thinner than an inch and just over 1.5 kg, the lightweight Aspire R 13 incorporates the unique Acer Ezel Aero Hinge that provides both flexibility and stability. The 13.3-inch display is affixed to this special hinge at the sides, which allows the screen to rotate 180-degrees so it can be used in six different ways - Notebook mode, Ezel mode, Stand mode, Pad mode, Tent mode and Display mode. All for Rs 89,999.
