Well, I completely agree wid u, as I d said, I dont have a fta box, so cant say how things work for a fta setup.

Even few FTA Box doesnt lock all Data channels. Its limited to certain level only. May be Hiegh end FTA Box might lock them.
This is the advantage of PCI Cards. Even very small updates r vissible and gettable but FTA boxes we have search for the new updates channel by channel.
