ADTV To increase the price

Dear All,

Effective 9th April 2013 ADTV is increasing the base back price: I received a SMS from ADTV that my base package (South Mega) to be increased by 18 INR (INR 382 to 400).
Message is as below:

Airtel digital TV Package update; Effective 09-April-13, Base package price is being revised from Rs 382 to Rs 400/ Month. Keep enjoying your favorite TV channels.

except sun,rest 5 dths will increase prices as they have shown in past that they are united.

All DTH Operators including SUN Direct are part of DTH Operators Association of India. So, I am expecting Sun Direct too increasing the price hike.

Such planned prise rise decision are taken unanimously by all Member of Association.

DTH is still in nascent stage and the price rise is constant which would hinder the growth. I expect for digital cable, it will be an added advantage.

3 DTHs price hike news have arrived. i.e Dishtv, D2h, Adtv

Again DISHTV have set the trend of price hiking.

All DTHs are following Dishtv, As their Boss have ordered them to do so

Exactly. TRAI is completely sleeping in terms of protecting DTH consumers rights. Even DTH consumers are still blabbering on DTH companies Twitter and Facebook pages. Unless TRAI is flooded with such complaints, they won't take the pain to regulate.

So, I think everyone should mail TRAI for this price hike so that they come up with some regulation.
