At a time when opposition parties in Tamil Nadu are still working on electoral tie-ups, the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) has already kicked off its candidate selection process for the upcoming assembly polls.
Party treasurer O Panneerselvam said that while the party has fixed the fee for a Tamil Nadu seat – where it is the strongest – at Rs 11,000, the price for a Puducherry seat is Rs 5,000. If the candidate seeks a party ticket from Kerala, where the AIADMK plans to contest in the coming elections, the prescribed fee would be Rs 2,000.
