hold on guys..it's advertisement of Star Sports 4K...not of Airtel 4K service or launching of so.
Current date Videocon d2h 4K(1st DTH) and Tata Sky 4K UHD are the official 4K service providers with newly lanched h/w 4K STBs.
Whereas the HEVC technology adopted is by only d2h which is key criteria for 4K UHD broadcasting with the compression and PQ quality.
Airtel is just going to add SS4K to it's platform within WS2015 along with other operators however they don't have any 4K capabilities.Only they will make it available for all HD customers since SS HD Premiuim service won't be there around.
Dish would be having same scenario.
