it is HEVC set top box means it can stream H264 and H265 format videos. and if 4K videos which is built in or using H265 coding then I think the provided HD box can play 4K videos.
HEVC - It supports resolutions up to 8192×4320, including 8K UHD.

I also got this HEVC HD box for my airtel connection.
I tried changing resolution to 1080p but when applied, Sound cracks a lot. Means I get sound for 2 seconds and then no sound for next 8-10 seconds. Picture also shows some horizontal lines.
When i come back to 1080i resolution, everything comes back to normal like good sound and good picture quality.
I have Samsung 55inch H6400 LED TV.
Anybody else facing same issue?

Hi Bro are you getting dolby digital plus output in this STB i got another HEVC model STB i could able to get only Dolby digital output from STBGuys, I just got replaced my Extremely Good Huawei HD+ Box with this New HEVC HD Box, & I thought I post some snaps.
It's got an USB & Display on the Front.
Antenna Port, Analog, Optical SPDIF, HDMI, Ethernet, USB, & DC on the Back.
Common Interface Slot on the Right.
View Card on the left Side
A power button & lots of Vents on top.
It also has got 1080p option inside the settings.
The Box is Manufactured by Flextronics & the Box is Made in India. I felt it a bit heavier than the old Box. That's about it guys. Thanks.
All Dolby Digital Plus Channels (&TV HD,
SSselect HD, StarWorld HD etc). When Dolby Digital Plus is Selected on Hdmi Audio Option, No sound on Tv. You are correct. You need to switch it back to Dolby Digital.
I am connected it with a Samsung Home Theater with SPDIF though. & SPDIF Don't got DDPlus Support yet, so not a Problem.

oh ok my brother in law using the airtel internet box he is getting dd plus via hdmi, is this problem exists in new HEVC boxes or it also exists in old airtel HD boxes too ?
Yes, With Huawei HD+ Box also, i had this Problem. But my Tv neither got DD nor DD+, May be Tv Problem. I am not sure though. I never cared.
