1. It is not possible to access apps if your Digital TV subscription is inactive. Minimum pack is 500/- and that is only all SD. All HD is 700.

2.Not all Android apps are accessible in Android TVs. Whatever is approved by google we can use it.

This is an intelligent strategy by Airtel to hold onto new generation premium customers who are moving to Streaming services for daily entertainment. Doesn't make sense for me to shell out 700/- for DTH when my primary intention is to watch HD TV shows, Movies via Internet. No Hotstar or Sonly Liv for Live sports. May be Hotstar can be casted no idea.

If these is restrictions then this box is of no use. I was planning to use this as Android box.

The link does not say if it's an Android box. Looks to me customized and restricted version of Android which suggests that we may not be able to run applications like Kodi or Terrarium TV.

Since kodi is available on play store it will be available but other live tv and videos app won't be available
