Otherwise we may see a-la-carte for Star channels on DTH also which may happen later.

Nothing new. It has happened a lot of time with RDTV.

But this time it looks like Star started dispute with DTH too.

Now time has come RDTV should increase the headache of STAR INDIA by putting all these channels in the ala carte basis and let they beg for their contract

Don't know how these DTH survive for years just by replacing channels......without adding any services or even not providing HD STBs.....
Seems only Dishtv has proper planning for years ahead......almost all others seems to be striving for TP space...
But next year RDTV may emerge & regain some status & then Dishtv will struggle...

Dishtv may not have a problem with space if they moved to MPEG 4 then they not even required so much compression and as late entrant on new technology it would be easy for them to applied new compression, only thing required is planning and to keep eyeing on automatic migration which they're doing by bringing Zing Brand.

last week it was sun network channels and this week star channels. I remember that one alliance channels too issued a notice like this and it is kind of regular incase of rdtv.
