Amazon put out numbers showing that it has gone ahead of competitors like Flipkart, Snapdeal and Jabong in India in a letter Founder and CEO Jeff Bezos on Monday.

Bezos in his letter said that Amazon has become the most visited site in India after only two and a half years of launch.

Bezos posted a graph taken on comScore, a common tool used by websites to measure web traffic. The letter was posted on Amazon.in and sent to customers via mail.

Bezos also offered customers a discount of Rs 200 only for today.

This news comes on the heels of a a recent report by Boston Consulting Group, the e-commerce industry in India is expected to touch $60-70 billion (roughly Rs. 3,99,360 crores - Rs. 4,65,920 crores) by 2019 from $17 billion in 2014.

Last year Amazon had announced an investment of $2 billion (roughly Rs. 13,312 crores) to expand its operations in India and is committed to pump further investments in the country, which is a key market.

I prefer Paytm, eBay for shopping

I don't think Paytm is a good website. They offer cashback but their sellers are mostly not trustable. The best service is of Amazon.
