Asaram calls himself innocent like Salman Khan, says will walk free soon

As the debate on the acquittal of Bollywood actor Salman Khan in the infamous hit-and-run case is still on, self-styled controversial godman Asaram drew attentions with his statement that he too is innocent like the actor.

Asaram, while heading to appear for hearing of his case, told media persons, “I'm also innocent and will walk free
like Salman soon.”

Asaram has been jailed since last two years in connection with an alleged rape case.


Yesterday, the Bombay High Court acquitted the 49-year-old actor of all charges in the case, seven months after a sessions court here convicted and sentenced him to five-year imprisonment in May.
