Astro announced the launch of the first 24 hour Tamil HD Channel in South East Asia with the launch of Vinmeen HD Ch 231.
The channel will be available from October 18 2013 at 6am for all Maharaja and Astro B.yond HD subscribers.
The splendid launch of this channel was graced by well-known South Indian celebrities, Prasanna and wife, also a famous actress, Sneha, along with a host of local stars.
Astro viewers can soon enjoy exclusive premium content and never seen before genre show in Crystal Clear HD Video quality and selected key programmes and movies in Dolby 5.1.
Viewers can look forward to new and sensational local and international content such as Ramayanam, Fear Files, Bipasha Basu Aerobics; Aerobics show featuring famous Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu, Auto Show, Therintha Kovil Theriyatha Puranam, Parampariya Samayal, Naan Thaan Vallavar; a mixture of fear factor and amazing race; Iyarkai Thedi.
Thus with the newly introduced Vinmeen HD, customers can enjoy 40 basic channels on Family Pack, 11 HD channels (Maya HD, ONE HD, Disney XD, KBS World HD, AXN HD, KIX HD, Food Network HD, FX HD, Life Inspired HD and Quan Jia HD) including Vinmeen HD and 4 exclusive channels from Maharaja Package (Sun TV, Sun Music, Chutty TV, Sun Adithya). All these are available at only RM70.90 (Family Pack = RM37.95, Maharaja = RM12.95, HD services = RM20).
Vinmeen HD will be automatically be available for Astro Super Pack 2 (RM 125) customers or Astro Value Pack 2, Namma Pack (RM 75) customers without any additional cost. Astro has a special offer now to swap your old Astro box with the new B.yond HD decoder for FREE.
With this box customers can watch their favorite programs in high definition upon subscribing to B.yond HD service.

This channel is only for the SE region and they procure the contents from zee group. Already Sun,vijay,jaya and raj are available on their platforms so it is obvious that Zee tamizh is the only choice.

I think the programmes from Zee HD in tamil that allllll astro always do like that.............
Does that mean that Zee Tamizh can launch its own HD feed in India shortly? Just wondering...

Zee tamizh dubbes the program from its parent channel so obviously HD version is available.
