Atleast 28 people died and 12 injured, some of them are critical, after a bus fell down from a culvert and caught fire in Panna on Monday afternoon. The bus carrying about 42 people was going from Chhatarpur to Satna when the driver lost control over steering while negotiating a turn and it fell down from a culvert into a dry water body.
A magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the incident which took place on NH-75 passing through Panna national park near the famous Pandav falls.
The bus caught fire as soon it fell down from a height of about 15 feet, an eyewitness said.
