If AXN HD would also show some New Episode shows in India as well, similar to SWP Hherwise then definitely there is scope for that.
I'm sure definitely they will target and compete with SWP HD.And once it will capture the TRP then sure Star will have no choice

But AXN doesn't have much content to show other than the show which they are showing now and if at all they bring some new content then Star too will bring something new

I don't see any nearby launch of AXN HD..till WC2015 and IPL2015(night matches)ends...!!!
It will come in similar date of PIX HD launching

But I think it will be launched after World Cup as they may think of showing IPL on AXN HD too rather showing it only on Sony Six HD

AXN HD will have all different contents together...!!! after all it has to compete with SWP HD and SW HD duo.
We can't say based on AXN contents.!!!
