World Cup not colliding with Prime Time channels but IPL will, there was time during Season 2 of IPL, SONY stopped air any new content they just goes to re run mode back with new series after IPL because they don't wants to risk it TRP tat year IPL generated the most worst TRP of all time because everyone was busy with elections.

those are different genres and at present it wont make a huge impact on english channels, people would still continue to watch them at prime time.

AXN HD has nothing to do with IPL, both things have an audience so there is no pint in saying why they r launching before IPL. AXN HD was planned to launch during third quarter of 2014-15 i.e b/w Oct to Dec 2014 but it is already delayed by 3 months
