Shakib Al Hasan feels the spinner-friendly pitch in Providence presents Bangladesh a great chance of winning the series against the Windies with one game left to play.

Bangladesh lead the three-match one-day international series after winning the first match by 48 runs.

"We have the best chance in Guyana," Hasan told reporters ahead of the second ODI, to be played on Wednesday, 25 July. "This is perhaps the only wicket in West Indies that is known for assisting the spinners and we have got a good track record here."

Bangladesh recovered well from the 2-0 whitewash at the hands of the hosts in the Test series and were helped by Tamim Iqbal's 130* and Hasan's 97 as they put up 279/4 and then restricted the Windies to 231/9, courtesy returns of 4/37 from captain Mashrafe Mortaza.

"We will try to wrap the series by tomorrow but at the same time we must remember that they will be eager to make a comeback," said Shakib.

"The St Kitts wicket (for the third ODI) is known to produce runs and as the ground will be slightly smaller than this and it will suit them."

Windies all-rounder Andre Russell has been ruled out of the deciding third ODI against Bangladesh with a knee injury, it was confirmed on Friday (July 27). Russell, who was recalled to the team to play the three-match series, didn't feature in the second ODI as well owing to the same injury. With him not recovering in time for the all-important third ODI, CWI have named left-arm pacer Sheldon Cottrell as his replacement.
