As per week 8 (20-26 February, 2016) of the BARC data, Star Plus, after being on the second spot for a week, bounced back to the No.1 spot in week 8. Colors which was the No.1 channel in week 7 slipped down to the second spot followed by Zee TV at No.3. At No.4 stood Zee Anmol whereas, Star Utsav secured the fifth spot.

Star Plus regained the No.1 spot in week 8 after it was pushed down to the second spot in week 7 by Colors. The channel garnered 768 million ratings in week 8 which were 692 million the previous week.

Colors slipped down to the second spot in week 8 but gained in terms of ratings as it earned 725 million ratings . The channel had 716 million ratings in week 7.

Zee TV remained at No.3 like the previous week. The channel saw a fall in the ratings from 666 million to 645 million in week 8.

Zee Anmol also secured the fourth spot like week 7 with 625 million ratings. But the channel saw a fall in terms of ratings from week 7’s 656 million .

Star Utsav replaced Life OK to acquire the fifth spot with 492 million ratings in week 8. The channel had 446 million ratings in week 7.

At No.6 stood Sony Pal with 477 million ratings. The channel had 433 million ratings in week 7.

At No.7 stood Life OK with 437 million ratings. The channel had 465 million ratings the week before.

Rishtey retained its eighth spot in week 8. The channel which had 371 million ratings in week 7 fetched 372 million ratings in week 8.

At No.9 stood Sony SAB which garnered 363 million ratings. The channel saw a rise in the ratings from 355 million in week 7.

At No.10 stood Sony entertainment Television with 311 million ratings.

MUMBAI: In week 8, Sun TV continued to lead across genres while Star Plus grabbed the second slot and pushed down Colors to number three, according to Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) all India data.
On the other hand, Star India’s movie channel Star Gold exited the top ten list this week while Sony networks’ Sony Max entered the list.
Sun TV maintained its lead with 1005250 (‘000s), whereas Star Plus in the second place with an increase in ratings acquired 835910 (‘000s) and pushed Colors down to number three with 767772 (‘000s).
Zee TV maintained its fourth spot in week 8 with 703634 (‘000s), while Zee Anmol secured the fifth slot with 626831 (‘000s).
Star India’s FTA channel Star Ustav climbed up to number six from the eightth slot in week 7 with 495096(‘000s) followed by Sony Pal with 481529 (‘000s) at number seven while Life OK with 456706 (‘000s) stood at number eight.
Sony Max entered the top ten channel’s list in week 8 and grabbed ninth slot with 449308 (‘000s) while ETV Telugu maintained its tenth slot in the chart with 418704 (‘000s).
