I bought a Sony Blu Ray HT system some 10-15 days back. Model SONY BDV N990W. Its a 5.1 HT system with all 4 Tall Boy speakers, 1 Center speaker and 1 sub woofer. One of the best feature is its rear speakers are wireless.

Blu Ray Player:

There is no physical switch on the player expect the power button. All other switches are touch switch and its touch sensitive. Switch pops up when the panel is touched.

The best feature which mainly attracts me to buy the product is its wireless rear speaker. With wireless speaker one might be worried of signal loss. But SONY has come up with a innovative idea. They made a rear amplifier. This looks like

The rear speakers are connected to this with wire.
There is one wireless trans-receiver slot in it. Also there is another wireless trans-receiver on the player. So this 2 shares signal wirelessly.

So with this innovative solution there is no fear of signal loss. Also it makes WIFI Internet capable.
2 in 1 solution. No need for lan cable to go online.
The tall boy speakers looks stunning though the plastic is not up to quality.

The center speaker is simple and works perfect

The sub woofer

The product is running quite well. Though there is one problem with the product. Once in a while at start up it doesn't go to the HDMI (in which my STB is connected) mode. Rather it hanged. I have to restart it with disconnecting my TS stb HDMI cable. Then I have to reconnect my HDMI cable. Then it works fine.
INTERFACE PICTURES WILL FOLLOW SOON.

Bought it from The Great Eastern Trading Company.
No no demo on the retailer shop as one of my relative also have the same. So gone for it. As I told the wireless rear speaker was the main point for this purchase as wiring is not possible at all for my room.

No idea mate.
But I can give you one info.Till March 15th the BDV N990W MRP was 39990/ ,same as E980. On internal audit on mid march they reduced the price of N990W.
I bought it @39000/- . But delivery was delayed by a week and so they cancelled my bill. Finally after 16th I was re-billed with the new 34000/- price.
