Bhim Army Chief donated Blood at AIIMS despite having blood disorder.

a case of gross irresponsibility by @BhimArmyChief Chandrashekhar Azad and his doctor, @DrHarjitBhatti .

So, last month, I wrote to AIIMS asking them about blood donation by Azad and Bhatti at AIIMS’s Trauma Centre

This is because some doctors on social media pointed out that Azad had donated blood despite having declared in court that he has blood disorder called Polycythemia. Such ppl are unfit to donate blood. But Azad was even given appreciation certificate for donating blood at AIIMS

Oh no he must have made others sick.

fortunately no.

Since, it was highlighted on Social Media and news went viral, AIIMS discarded the collected blood.

So how long AIIMS keeps the blood idle before giving to anyone else ?

they can remain for weeks or months i guess.

But they definitely use rare group bloods as soon as they needed.

right but blood bank can keep them stored for 42 days

But question is do they test bloods before storing or before giving to someone else ?

highly doubt considering this mishap.

Thats my point in that case someone must have infected too.
