Delhi-based production house AAP Media has taken a plunge into television broadcast with the launch of Anjan, a Bhojpuri entertainment channel.
Test signals for the channels are already on-air and the official launch will be on 24 August.
The free-to-air channel is currently engaged in negotiations with leading multi-system operators like Digicable, Den, Hathway and WWIL to carry the channel on their platform.
Despite being a Bhojpuri entertainment channel, Anjan will also have Hindi content to appeal to non-Bhojpuri viewers in the Hindi heartland.
Manjit Hans is the channel head.
