News Bibles reach Nepal

More than 100,000 paperback-edition Gideon Bibles have arrived in Nepal to provide relief for the millions of Nepalese desperate for help following the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake that has struck the country.

But the jet loaded with skids of boxed Bibles is being called misguided and “dumber-than-dumb-ass” by rescue groups and world governments alike.

“Well, isn’t that just a plane-load full of stupid?” said a shocked and annoyed Nepal Prime Minister Sushil Koirala when told by CNN that the plane taxiing in to Tribhuvan International Airport was full of Gideon Bibles.

Officially, the primarily Hindu government of Nepal has quickly thanked Gideons International for the Christian Bibles but has requested that next time perhaps they “give their thick heads a shake” and send emergency supplies, not stacks of New Testaments.

Actually relief workers could have been sent along with bibles & aid. Then only it would have been of any use....
This is a very good opportunity for evangelists. Gideon should have worked with other organisations like Oxfam...

These Christian organisations are doing the only one thing..when ever they get chance they will do the these kind of things.Nobody is stopping them in India.what Bible or any religion book can do with the victims??now they want help not the books.

Western Forces shocked after India's response to help Nepal they totally shaken from the rescue operation of NDRF, so by the name of Religion politics Western Forces wants to tackle the moment. So whenever Indian Govt. left Nepal, Big Buddy US will tries to become Nepal's Brother after all they want Nepal to challenge China and Pakistan already having sweet little brother kinda a relationship with US.
