Not only that they have changed the tatkal charges too silently some 8-9 months back.
I do not want my railway ticket charges to fall down. I want stronger railway, self sustained railway. I do not want more subsidy. I also do not want freebies and free water. I want stable economy, stable INR, more jobs...I want in fact holistic development where my purchasing power increases, I get job so that I can buy what I need, I want more manufacturing, better agriculture, better education so that without subsidy I can buy the stuffs. But what today's politics offers me is...I will give you onion at 30rs per kg (via subsidy) but not ensure that you have 60rs in your pocket to buy...if I need subsidy....they govt should in fact ensure the reason for this need to control rather than controlling the resultant. I would be happy if my income tax increases but at te same time my purchasing power or salary increases. Happy to contribute to nation's growth by paying more taxes, if the collected tax is not wasted in form of corruption. But most of the time we say, what did govt give me? (and our parameters to measure if...if I got 15 lakhs in my account not really if black money came back to India. BJP did not say it will pay 15lakhs to each person, rather it said we will bring the money back and if all money comes it will be like each person gets 15 lakhs...which was basically used to explain how much money is lying outside...it is saying that Middle East has so much of oil that every person can get 1 lakh liter each.

These so called political class need to give away all the luxury enjoyed by them and then sound to us that they have given away and now it's your turn.

They will enjoy food for 5 rupees in parliament canteen and the common man need to spend entire fortune to overcome 30 days till the next month salary is credited.

I remember 1 incident when congress was ruling in maharashtra & Vilasrao Deshmukh was CM. Congress promised free electricity for farmers. But after coming in to power our dear CM shamelessly said these kind of statements has to be made in election campaigning time..
