Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is planning to launch its own Telugu news channel christened Orange TV in order to take its ideology to the common people and counter propaganda of TV channels run by other political outfits.


Andhra Pradesh has a plethora of political-agenda driven media platforms which includes T channel run by sympathisers of Telangana Rashtra Samiti. YSR Congress, the breakaway faction of Congress party, runs Sakshi TV owned by its president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

The influx of political agenda driven channels has forced India's leading television network Zeel to exit Andhra Pradesh market by shutting down operations of its Telugu news channel Zee 24 Ghantalu.

BJP forced Zee 24 Ghantalu to shut down its channel . I can't believe this . Zee is a Big fish in terms of Media and Entertainment. I don't think anyone will dare to mess with them. It would be their mutual agreement between the two.

actually it is not the full reason.now In AP media market is not good News channels getting more now a days and adds cost also very less.so not only zee 24 gantalu lot more other news channels also facing the same situation.Zee decided to shut down their Telugu news channel bcoz they are not getting any profit.
About BJP telugu channel now BJP wants to take stand on Telangana side.They are facing tough compitetion with TRS political party.Already TRS party has one news channel T News. so BJP decided to start a new news channel to support Telangana(us).
