News Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt released from jail after 42 months

Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt walked out a free man from Yerwada prison on Thursday morning after serving a sentence of five years for being in possession of an AK-56 rifle. He was carrying a bag of personal belongings and a file.

His wife Manyata, twins Iqra and Shahran were present there to welcome him. Close friends including Bollywood director Rajkumar Hirani was also present to receive Dutt outside jail.

The actor spent almost three years in the Pune jail under the Arms Act in the Mumbai serial blasts case.
